About the presenter:
Sephora Escarpeta-Garcia is originally from the Dominican Republic. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York and West New York, New Jersey. Her first language is Spanish and English is her second. She was educated in Brooklyn and West New York, New Jersey from elementary age through high school. Sephora received her Associate Degree from Bronx Community College, her Bachelor degree, from The City College of New York, both in Education. She received her Masters of Arts degree in Spanish Literature from Ohio University. Sephora started her teaching career in the Bronx where she taught for 4 and a half years, Junior high 5th-8th grade. Later she moved to Ohio, where she taught at Lancaster High School for 15 years, grades 9-12 including, AP Spanish, Dull Enrollment, and College Credit Plus Program. Sephora also taught Beginning and Intermediate Spanish at Ohio University Lancaster Campus for 10 years. Sephora is presently living with her husband in California and teaching at Harvard-Westlake.
